# Ravical raises $17M for accounting firm AI expansion

Belgian accounting software startup Ravical has raised $17M in seed funding led by MMC Ventures, with participation from Lakestar, Pitchdrive and new investor Shapers. The company plans to expand in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, grow elsewhere in Europe and launch in the US.

Ravical's software captures how experienced accounting and tax staff assess cases, then applies that approach across clients. Managers can use it to identify risks and opportunities across their client base.

The company says more than 100 European accounting firms use the platform. Its planned US launch would extend its reach beyond that European customer base.
