India's electronics minister said companies have proposed about ₹1 lakh crore of investment under Semicon 2.0, expected over the next two to three years. The proposals cover chip equipment, materials, gases, chemicals, ATMP units, substrates and wafers, though the government did not name the companies because approvals remain pending. The second phase has a ₹1,27,500 crore outlay and broadens support to design, equipment, materials, fabs, packaging, R&D and talent.
