Chemours has released Faizeon dielectric fluids for data center cooling systems that remove heat directly from chips or immerse equipment in liquid. The fluids support two-phase cooling, in which liquid absorbs server heat and then vaporizes.

The company said its Faizeon 200 fluid kept a GPU up to 19°C cooler than a single-phase, water-based fluid while using a lower coolant flow rate. Chemours worked with Oak Ridge National Laboratory and companies including NTT DATA, Accelsius and ZutaCore on development. Most data centers using liquid cooling currently rely on single-phase systems.
