Agility and FORT plan expanded safety systems for Digit 5

Agility and FORT Robotics announced a proposed partnership to extend safety systems for the upcoming Digit 5 humanoid robot. The companies plan to combine onboard human detection and motion controls with FORT's communication infrastructure outside the robot, supporting work near people in warehouses, manufacturing and logistics. A tablet holder will integrate an emergency stop and an enabling device, giving customers a manual override during setup, maintenance or unexpected situations. The planned operating framework includes joint hardware development, regulatory compliance and deployment support. The partnership is contemplated by a memorandum of understanding and remains subject to definitive agreements.
