Microsoft fixed a Windows issue that blocked non-admin users from connecting through Remote Desktop when Administrator protection was enabled. The fix arrived in the October 28 KB5127936 preview update and later updates, BleepingComputer reported.

The problem affects Windows 11 24H2 and later, primarily on enterprise-managed devices serving as Remote Desktop hosts. It followed the September KB5124010 preview update or subsequent updates. Administrators waiting for next month's cumulative security updates can use a temporary workaround, but it requires disabling Administrator protection through Intune or Group Policy.
