Yamato Transport said on Oct. 16 that a previously announced breach compromised 5.31 million sets of personal information belonging to some deferred-payment service users, Jiji Press reported. Nikkei separately disclosed about 1.83 million compromised sets of personal information after unauthorized access to a cloud service used for system development.

Park24 said it would finish deleting identity-document images by the end of October and revise its rules to delete them immediately after identity verification. About 1.6 million of the approximately 6.6 million sets of personal information affected in the attack on its Times Car operator included images of driver's licenses and other documents.
