A breach at school administration software provider Frontline Education affected 805,382 people across four states, teiss reported, citing regulatory filings. Compromised information included Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, passport numbers and other government, Medicaid and student identifiers.

Frontline said its security team identified a vulnerability in a third-party software product on August 14 that led to unauthorized access to part of its internal network. The company has notified affected school districts and begun notifying individuals in cooperation with those districts. It is offering complimentary TransUnion credit monitoring; the four-state count does not establish a nationwide total.
