Advertise in ChatGPT

OpenAI has launched an advertising platform inside ChatGPT that lets marketers reach users as they explore options and make decisions, the company announced. The service uses conversation context to deliver ads the company says are more relevant and personalized than keyword-based approaches. Advertisers create campaigns through an Ads Manager tool that guides them through setup, budgeting, and ad creation. Ads are clearly labeled and kept separate from ChatGPT's generated responses, and users retain control over how their data is used for advertising. Early participants include Best Buy, Lowe's, and VistaPrint. Best Buy's vice president of media, Amy Adams, said the retailer is encouraged by early results and views the platform as an important way to stay relevant as consumers turn to ChatGPT for research and decisions.
