Software security company Hex-Rays has agreed to acquire Israeli cybersecurity startup HexAI in a deal estimated to exceed $30 million, The Yeshiva World reported, citing N12. HexAI developed its products without raising outside investment capital.

Its systems let cybersecurity researchers deploy specialized AI agents to analyze source code and compiled programs, identify previously unknown vulnerabilities, and verify findings. Hex-Rays makes IDA Pro, which helps researchers analyze software when source code is unavailable.

All six HexAI employees are expected to remain with Hex-Rays. The buyer plans to expand operations in Israel, hire security researchers and developers, and further develop the AI research tools.
