OpenAI released 372 results from an unreleased AI model, saying each resolves or substantially advances a major open question in mathematics or theoretical computer science, Scientific American reported. The claims include improvements to computing algorithms and progress toward the Riemann hypothesis.

Many results have been checked in Lean, software that validates mathematical proof logic. An OpenAI spokesperson said almost every result came from a single prompt to a single agent, while acknowledging that some might have required multiple attempts.

The company is publishing average computing time and additional statistics, but no prompts. Many results are not yet understood by OpenAI's own mathematicians, and the model remains unavailable to the public.
