Predicate raises $8 million for blockchain compliance infrastructure

Its system checks transactions against customer rules, including sanctions screening and identity requirements, then issues a cryptographically signed attestation that a smart contract verifies before permitting a transaction. Businesses can update policies without redeploying their contracts. Predicate's website says the platform has screened more than $1 billion in transaction volume; those checks enforce customer-defined policies.
