Polymarket resumed trading on its international platform after a breach drained money from some traders' wallets and prompted a pause lasting several hours, WIRED reports. The company said a UK-based third-party vendor was breached, rather than Polymarket's website, and UK law enforcement had been notified.

Blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps estimated that around 700 users were affected and approximately $2.7 million was stolen. Polymarket declined to confirm the number of affected traders or losses but said it would refund impacted traders.

The breach did not affect Polymarket US, its separate federally regulated platform for US users.
