OpenAI touts Amazon alliance in internal memo, says Microsoft limited enterprise reach
OpenAI's revenue chief Denise Dresser sent an internal memo to staff on Sunday highlighting the company's partnership with Amazon as a key driver for enterprise growth, while acknowledging that its Microsoft partnership has limited access to certain customers.

"Our Microsoft partnership has been foundational to our success. But it has also limited our ability to meet enterprises where they are. For many that's Bedrock," Dresser wrote, referring to Amazon Web Services' AI model platform.
Dresser said inbound demand for the AWS offering has been "frankly staggering" since the partnership was announced in February.
The comments reflect OpenAI's ongoing effort to reduce its reliance on Microsoft as it competes for enterprise market share against Anthropic's Claude, which has established itself as a market leader in the business segment.
OpenAI's enterprise business currently accounts for 40% of revenue and is on track to reach parity with its consumer business
