# CXMT plans HBM3E production despite low yields

China's CXMT plans to start producing HBM3E memory used with AI processors, Reuters reports, citing sources. Production yields are just 20% to 30%, and the chips' performance is closer to SK Hynix's previous-generation HBM3 than to its HBM3E, the sources said.
