# Google Cloud adds generally available access controls to Secure Source Manager

Google Cloud has made two Secure Source Manager capabilities generally available: private CI/CD connectivity through Developer Connect and granular code-approval rules. The Code Owners system can require different approvers by file path and branch, nest ownership files within repositories and demand independent sign-offs from multiple groups.

Developer Connect links source repositories with build systems across private networks using Private Service Connect, while VPC Service Controls can restrict access to proxy endpoints. The controls apply to repositories hosted in Secure Source Manager and therefore do not automatically protect code managed on other platforms.
