Cyberabad Cybercrime police are investigating an alleged ransomware attack on Hyderabad-based CR Healthcare Services after the company filed a complaint, Telangana Today reported. The attack is suspected to have occurred on September 29, encrypting patient records and affecting the healthcare technology company's digital systems.

The allegedly compromised information includes names, photographs, contact details, diagnostic reports and clinical records. Attackers reportedly shared sample patient records to demonstrate access. In a separate communication, they allegedly demanded $100,000 in cryptocurrency within 72 hours and threatened to publish stolen information if payment was not made.
