Cloudflare makes AI Search generally available with native image retrieval

Cloudflare makes AI Search generally available with native image retrieval Image: Primary
Cloudflare made AI Search generally available October 1, adding native image retrieval, text recognition for scanned PDFs and support for files up to 10 MiB, increased from 4 MiB. The managed service handles indexing and retrieval for uses including internal documentation and website search. The Qwen3-VL-Embedding model represents image pixels directly, allowing image queries to search indexed images and text. Text-only models instead search using generated image captions. Cloudflare will begin billing November 1, 2026, for ingestion, storage and queries. Its free monthly allotment includes 1,000 semantic queries and 1,000 full-text queries; image processing carries an additional ingestion fee.
