# FirstLight selects Netcracker platform for fiber network operations

Netcracker said FirstLight has selected its operations platform to support the fiber provider's network expansion. FirstLight plans to replace multiple legacy systems with a single view of its network and operations, which the companies say will improve data accuracy and help coordinate deployments.

FirstLight's existing network spans 20,000 route miles and connects more than 16,000 locations across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic United States. The announcement describes a platform selection and planned replacement of existing systems; it does not report a completed rollout.
