Microsoft unveils Copilot app with coding and autonomous agents

Microsoft unveiled a redesigned Copilot app that brings chat, coding and autonomous agents into one interface for work. Its Home tab combines chat and task assistance, while Code is designed to create internal apps in a sandbox hosted within a customer's Microsoft 365 environment. Autopilot, previously called Scout, can carry out recurring tasks using its own cloud computer instance. Microsoft plans to charge for Cowork, Code and Autopilot based on usage, while its regular subscription covers chat and Office integrations. Home and Code are due to reach Frontier early-access users in the coming weeks; Autopilot is slated for private preview later this month.
