Easy Fox says it has taken out a bank loan to keep its free Steam demo, Teach My Little Sister How To Drive, running as AI service costs exceed $1,000 per day. The developer says the number of players trying the game has grown over 20 times.

The game uses Google Gemini to interpret voice commands and generate responses, with ChatGPT as a fallback. Increased usage has hit Gemini limits, forcing a switch to ChatGPT Realtime Mini 2.1 and causing delayed responses and wrong inputs.

Easy Fox plans to include expected AI usage in the paid game's price without separate token charges. It also plans local models for players with capable hardware.
