# OpenAI rolls out GPT-6.1 Sol in Work and Codex

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6.1 Sol in Work and Codex to Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users, CNET reports. OpenAI says the model improves on GPT-6 Sol for coding and operating computers and approaches GPT-6 Astra's performance on those tasks and professional work.

Work handles multistep assignments using websites and connected apps, while Codex provides a more technical interface for software development. GPT-6.1 Sol is unavailable in regular Chat.
