DIG Ventures closes $120M fund for European AI infrastructure startups

DIG Ventures closes $120M fund for European AI infrastructure startups Image: Primary
London-based DIG Ventures has closed its third fund at $120M to back around 30 European pre-seed and seed-stage startups building software infrastructure for AI. Institutional backers include Horsley Bridge, Sofina, Granite and an unnamed US university endowment, alongside founders of companies including Slack and Datadog. The firm plans to lead most rounds and has already started investing. It targets data, identity, compliance and orchestration layers that other software depends on. DIG's investment thesis is that cheaper AI-generated code makes application products harder to defend, shifting lasting value toward their underlying infrastructure.
