# VitVio deploys operating-room AI at Mexican hospital

VitVio is deploying its Vetro AI system in every operating room at Hospital Español de Veracruz, its first deal in Latin America. Cameras and sensors create a live 3D model of people, equipment and activity, which AI agents use to track instruments, flag delays and help coordinate staff between procedures.

VitVio says the agreement could eventually extend to as many as 60 operating theatres across seven Grupo Hospital Español hospitals. The company says Vetro tracks cases, surgical stages and equipment rather than individuals and strips personal details from data. It has not disclosed how long it retains that data or where it stores it.
