Plato raises $16M to build simulated workplaces for AI agents

Plato raises $16M to build simulated workplaces for AI agents Image: Primary
Plato said it raised a $16M Series A led by Nava Ventures, bringing its total funding to $19M. Gradient Ventures, Transpose Platform and Microsoft AI chief Mustafa Suleyman also joined the round. The San Francisco startup recreates workplace software and tasks so AI labs can train and test agents without using real money or records. It checks both task results and whether agents followed the rules. Plato will use the funding to pay professionals to reconstruct their jobs as simulations and send agents on real tasks to gather experience.
