OpenAI rolls out Dots background agents to selected paying users Image: Primary
OpenAI is rolling out Dots, agents that work continuously toward user goals, to Pro and Business Premium users in selected regions, according to a DevDay recap published by note. The agents use a cloud computer and connected apps, with interactions and progress reports available through ChatGPT, Slack or Teams. Background proactive research is read-only: agents cannot send messages or modify app content. Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare access is an administrator-enabled beta that is off by default; availability varies by region and account.
