Suno has launched Speech in public beta on its web and mobile platforms, extending its AI music service to spoken voice generation, The Verge reported. Users can generate voiceovers and accompanying background music together, or switch off the music to produce speech alone.

A Simple mode accepts descriptions of the desired audio, while Advanced mode accepts custom scripts and offers controls for voice gender, speech style and variation between generations. Suno acknowledges that accents can drift and dramatic pauses can become excessive during the beta.
