# AWS adds real-time identity change events to EventBridge

AWS says IAM Identity Center's Identity Store now sends real-time events to Amazon EventBridge when users, groups, memberships, or the identity store itself are created, updated, or deleted. The repository manages identities and access across AWS accounts and applications.

Security teams can use event rules to trigger provisioning audits, send alerts to security monitoring systems, or update access in downstream applications. Organizations can also automate onboarding and offboarding when group memberships change.

The feature is available in all regions supporting IAM Identity Center, with events sent in each enabled region of an instance. Standard EventBridge usage charges apply.
