Emerald AI, Google and Nvidia announced the AI Energy Management Alliance, a coalition intended to advance data centers that can adjust electricity use as grid conditions change. The group says it will develop performance-based approaches for response speed, duration, predictability and emergency behavior, while working with utilities on interconnection solutions. Flexible facilities could shift computing workloads, discharge storage or use paired generation. The alliance is setting principles and plans, not announcing an operating interconnection program or guaranteed grid capacity.
