# Apple Commits Over $30 Billion To Broadcom Chip Deal

Apple said it is expanding its partnership with Broadcom in a multiyear deal expected to exceed 30 billion dollars, its largest American manufacturing commitment to date. The companies announced the agreement on Wednesday. The pact will result in the production of more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips and support hundreds of American jobs. As part of the deal Broadcom will spend 1.5 billion dollars to expand a factory in Fort Collins Colorado. The agreement covers design and production of custom silicon components and wireless connectivity technologies for Apple products. Apple said the deal is part of its work to source more of its chips from the U.S.
