AI chip startup Etched is reviewing investment offers at valuations ranging from $40 billion to $50 billion, TechCrunch reported, citing people familiar with the company. The talks follow a $700 million financing at a $21 billion valuation announced in September.

Etched builds full AI hardware systems using its own chips. Jane Street led the previous round and took delivery of an early system as a customer. One person familiar with the offers said another financing as large as the last could provide as much as 3.5 years of runway.

The fundraising talks are early, and terms could change. Etched declined to comment.
