# Snowflake adds GPT-6 Sol and Luna to Cortex AI in public preview

Snowflake has made GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna available in public preview through Cortex AI Functions and Cortex Inference. Customers can use the models in SQL-based analysis or call them from applications through a Snowflake account endpoint, with requests running inside Snowflake's security and governance perimeter.

Snowflake positions Sol for complex technical work and Luna for faster work at scale. The company says the models improve on their GPT-5.6 predecessors across professional tasks, coding and computer use. Support in Snowflake CoCo, CoWork and Cortex Agents is planned but is not available through this announcement.
