DoorDash has received only "several hundred" orders from third-party AI agents, CEO Tony Xu said during its third-quarter earnings call. Users still predominantly order through its app. The company's 2025 report put its average daily deliveries at 3 million.

Xu said DoorDash wants to learn more about agent-based ordering and develop relationships with third-party agent makers, with advertising within agents a possible future opportunity. DoorDash also operates its own ordering agents; the several hundred figure covers third-party agents.
