Tangled says its latest code-hosting release stores issues, pull requests, comments, reactions and labels alongside repository code, giving projects control over where those records are hosted. The records form chains of Git objects and synchronize through the AT Protocol.

The release replaces a combined frontend and backend running on one server in Sweden with a Svelte frontend deployed at the edge and globally deployed Rust indexing services. It also adds organization accounts and lets both Git and Jujutsu users submit and review stacked pull requests.

Self-hosters must upgrade their repository servers to v1.20.0. Private repositories, a command-line interface and language SDKs are scheduled for later releases.
