An international police operation seized the KillSec ransomware group's data leak site and server infrastructure on September 30 and provisionally arrested three suspects. German-led investigators identified a 16-year-old as the alleged main operator and searched eight properties in Greece, Romania, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Hamburg Police said authorities shut down five servers, including the group's main server and systems allegedly storing stolen data. They seized at least 110 terabytes of stolen data to prevent continued unauthorized access. Investigators are examining around 1,000 suspected attacks worldwide and have determined that around 500 succeeded, figures they caution could change as seized evidence is analyzed.
