A suspected cyberattack has affected supermarket refrigerators and freezers in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden and Ireland, the BBC reported. Delhaize said an overnight computer incident affected 40 shops in Belgium and Luxembourg; thirteen SuperValu shops in Ireland were also impacted.

One Swedish ICA store said its freezer temperatures had been set to 50 C. A Delhaize branch in Hoeilaart reported €100,000 in lost produce, excluding further losses from closing the shop. Belgium's and Sweden's national cybersecurity agencies said they were monitoring the incident.
