Waymo said it will launch a commercial robotaxi service in Singapore in 2028, its next international market. The Alphabet-owned company said vehicles will begin arriving in the coming months, followed by mapping and autonomous testing with human safety drivers in 2027.

Waymo said it is working toward offering fully autonomous ride-hailing to the public by 2028, subject to approval from Singapore's Land Transport Authority. The city-state requires autonomous vehicles to pass a safety assessment at CETRAN before public-road deployment. Waymo established a corporate entity in Singapore earlier this year and participates in the country's Steering Committee on Autonomous Vehicles.

The company also plans London service by the end of 2026, Tokyo in 2027, and Munich in late 2027.
