# PostgreSQL retires RHEL 10.0 and 9.6 repositories to archive

_Published Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 2:06 PM EDT · Infrastructure · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

PostgreSQL is moving its RHEL 10.0 and RHEL 9.6 RPM repositories from the main repository to the PostgreSQL YUM archive, where they will receive no further updates. The change also affects users of Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux 10.0 or 9.6.

Users can update to a newer operating system minor release or use the archive. All PostgreSQL major versions built for the retired repositories remain available there, including PostgreSQL 18. The rolling EL-10 and EL-9 repository RPMs are unaffected.
