Researchers at SKKU, Ajou University and MIT reported a closed-loop synthesis-planning system that retrieves comparable literature cases, proposes material recipes and revises them using experimental results. Trained on data extracted from 4,407 open-access synthesis papers, the system initially produced impurities for an oxy-selenide solid electrolyte at 600°C. After receiving those results, it proposed lower-temperature tests, and the team reported making a single-phase material without detectable impurities at 400°C.
