# AWS makes Nova Multimodal Embeddings available in GovCloud

AWS says Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings is now available in AWS GovCloud (US), allowing its document retrieval and image comparison capabilities to run inside that boundary. The availability matters for aerospace and defense workloads subject to data residency, ITAR and FedRAMP requirements.

The model places text and visual content in a shared representation so searches can retrieve engineering diagrams and charts. Availability of related Amazon Bedrock AgentCore features varies by region.
