OpenAI made GPT-6.1 Sol available on September 29 in Codex and ChatGPT Work for ChatGPT plans Plus and above, according to a DevDay recap on note. OpenAI describes the model as delivering performance close to GPT-6 Astra at one-fifth its standard token price.

API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, the same rates as GPT-6 Sol released the previous week. The rollout gives subscribers access through OpenAI's coding and work tools, but the model cannot yet be selected in the standard chat screen.
