Google says a prospective study of its AMIE conversational diagnostic research system, published in The Lancet, found that patient chats before in-person appointments helped patients organize their thoughts and build confidence. Google describes AMIE as the first patient-facing tool of its kind studied prospectively in a real-world clinical setting.
