# AWS makes CloudWatch Omni generally available for monitoring AI agents

AWS made CloudWatch Omni generally available as a development and monitoring service for AI agents running across different model providers, frameworks and runtimes. It records agent traces, compares prompts and configurations, builds test sets from production traffic and includes 17 evaluators for qualities such as coherence, faithfulness and routing correctness.

Developers can work through extensions for VS Code and Kiro or a separate web application; local use does not require an AWS account, while persistent CloudWatch storage requires an optional cloud connection. The IDE extension is free, but AWS did not provide broader pricing in the announcement.
