Anthropic said it opened its fifth Asia-Pacific office in Singapore and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. The agreement covers AI safety, security, model evaluation, adoption research, and responsible use across government and business.

The company also said organizations in regulated sectors can now run Claude with inference processed within the region through Amazon Bedrock, helping them meet data processing requirements. More than 1,500 GovTech Singapore engineers and technical staff have adopted Claude Code. Technical exchanges on model testing standards and incident response under the agreement are planned.
