# SITA agrees to buy Collins Aerospace's airport technology business

SITA agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, the airport technology business of RTX's Collins Aerospace, the air transport IT provider announced on October 15. The business supplies check-in systems, self-service kiosks, bag drop technology and systems used to operate airports.

The acquisition would expand SITA's passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations portfolio. The companies expect the deal to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
