Japan Airlines announced that a breach at Amadeus's Passenger Service System exposed data for about 92,000 customers. JAL Group uses the system for reservations, ticketing and check-in.

The airline said approximately 90,000 customers had reservation codes, names, flight dates, routes and travel classes exposed. Another 2,000 had additional information exposed, including passport numbers, contact details and frequent flyer numbers.

Amadeus notified JAL on October 23, 2026, that unauthorized access occurred between August 10, 2023, and September 23, 2026. JAL said credit card numbers and passwords were not compromised, it had no evidence of misuse, and flight operations were unaffected.
