Renesas Electronics reported third-quarter revenue of ¥435,917m, compared with ¥335,364m a year earlier, and basic earnings per share of ¥203.47, Yahoo Finance reported. The results benefited from a recent timing business sale and profit from ongoing operations.

Data center products contribute about 21% of sales, with management expecting a larger share in the fourth quarter as digital power and memory interfaces ramp. Third-quarter gross margin reached 59.4%, but fourth-quarter guidance calls for 58.0%. Full-year guidance includes a 33.2% operating margin despite heavier research and capacity spending.
