# Vercel adds Google's Gemini 4 Argon to AI Gateway

Vercel says Google's Gemini 4 Argon is now available through AI Gateway, adding access for coding, multistep agent tasks and complex reasoning. The model has a 1M token context window, accepts text, images, PDFs and video, and supports tool calling.

Developers can call it through the AI SDK, Chat Completions, Responses and Anthropic Messages APIs, or coding agents connected to the gateway. Vercel says the gateway passes through provider pricing without an inference markup or platform fee, including requests using customers' own keys. Reasoning controls offer low, medium and high thinking levels rather than thinking budgets.
