Google offers Mac app for local meeting notes and file search

Google offers Mac app for local meeting notes and file search Image: Primary
Google has made AI Edge Foresight available to download for Mac, offering meeting notes and information retrieval through its EmbeddingGemma 2 model. Google says the app turns shorthand bullets into fuller notes using a meeting transcript, with transcript and audio processing performed entirely on the device. The app can draw on project folders, reference materials, diagrams and calendars, supporting local files and Google Drive. Its chat feature retrieves and summarizes personal information, while Live Assistance listens and automatically answers questions. The underlying 740 million parameter model supports text queries across audio recordings and runs within constrained local hardware resources.
