Squarespace is laying off 19 percent of its employees to simplify operations, a company spokesperson told The Verge. The website-building platform said the cuts will affect around 300 of its 1,800 employees.

Spokesperson Jeff Seedman said the changes are intended to sharpen priorities and help the company move faster. Affected employees will receive 16 weeks of base pay and healthcare benefits into May 2027.
