Bluesky is blocking links to an archive containing records on more than 41,000 Department of Homeland Security employees and contractors, WIRED reported. Users opening the links in its website or app see a "Blocked Link" page labeling the destination malicious.

Bluesky says the records contain email addresses and phone numbers shared without authorization, violating its guidelines. It chose to block destinations rather than remove posts to preserve discussion and access to reporting.

The restriction also covers a website built to search the records. DDoSecrets' homepage remains accessible, and at least one outside app, Klearsky, opens archive links without a warning. Developers using Bluesky's open protocol can choose which moderation labels their apps apply.
